Update on Pleasant View Fox

The same fox in July 2014. We are waiting for the fur to grow back before releasing the animal.

We have happy news to report about the Pleasant View fox suffering from mange. You’re going to love this: not only did this animal survive the fire, it’s doing really well. We are giving it time to grow its fur back before preparing for release into the wild. For anyone who missed it, check out this photo of the poor fox when it came to us for care.

On top of that, this fox is helping us raise an orphan! The adult helps the kit by decreasing human imprinting, plus teaching species identification and social skills. The photos with one animal are the adult; the photo with two shows the adult on the left, the kit on the right.
